Title: Help finding a professional diagnosis
Post by: ScarletRose on November 18, 2020, 10:06:58 AM
I don't even know where to begin. My 30 yr old daughter is showing signs of BPD. She has gotten to the point where it's impossible for her to have healthy relationships with family or friends. She can't seem to keep a normal job, the anxiety consumes her and sometimes makes her physically ill. Lately she is easily agitated and can get outwardly aggressive. I have finally convinced her that she needs to get officially diagnosed and get some kind of treatment. Any advice on how to find a mental health specialist in my area? The last one we attempted to contact set up a video consult - then never contacted her!  I don't understand how a professional would do that to a person who has mental health issues. Obviously she doesn't want to try them again. I am in the NYC area and will take any recommendations.   At my wits end and need to do something quickly.
