My adult daughter has the same diagnoses.

Its like a game every day of what to say, what not to say, how to answer her, god forbid I trigger her.

I do not have an answer except try not to expect much from your son.
Sadly this will mean you may not be able to see your grandchild as often as you like, maybe only when he needs something.

Its a mind f+#^k dealing with people who are SMI, I dont wish it on my worse enemy.
Is he a good dad?

Hi Madelyn and welcome

I'm glad you've reached out for support.

We also wondered if bi-polar was at play and it's taken years to close that off, along with schizoaffective. My DD is BPD, in recovery. I think as Kitty says it's a challenge to know what's at play, what's caused the reaction, dysregulation, flight.

Is there a pattern of behaviour Madelyn

Fooled, are you ok? What's happening?
