Title: How long does the no contact period last?

So I'm trying to give my ex-girlfriend some space, I am worried about her and want to check in on her but now realize that's doing more harm than good. How long does the no contact period normally last?

there is no definitive answer to this question.

asking for space is not a bpd thing, its a very individual thing, and its very much whatever she has in mind; thats assuming she has thought it through or set a date.

if she has directly asked for space, 100%, contacting her will do more harm than good, and there is nothing to be gained from it.

as bleak and unsatisfying as that may sound, when youre trying to reverse a breakup, you have to play the cards youre dealt, and you have to play your best ones.

your best cards in this case are not just giving space, but using that space to become the most attractive version of yourself, the upbeat person she fell in love with in the first place. its highly unlikely that youll never hear from her again, and you want to be in the right headspace when you do.

Thanks for that. I should start working on myself, I hadn't noticed how much I've changed since being with her some for the better and some not so much.
