Title: Why would BPD ex break 4 weeks NC after she ghosted, to ask to be friends?

Especially since there still seems to be somewhat flirty behaviour/touching when we have caught up? I'm not interested in only being friends, which I've told her, but is this her way of slowly reconnecting? Or is she genuinely unsure what she wants/trying to keep me on the hook?

Every time my npBPD splits dysregulates and moves out of the home, this is what he does and I know how confusing it is for me. I think it’s his way of touching base, testing the waters, working through things in his head.

Yep that's what I am hoping is happening here too, especially since we were never really friends at any stage (started regularly sleeping with each other within a week or two of meeting). Does he always seem to come back around to the relationship side of things quickly?

In the beginning he did. I’ve been with him for 15 years and now his episodes last longer….
