Title: Spousal support funding vexatious litigation
Post by: BigOof on February 18, 2023, 07:34:41 AM
Situation: Highly contentious divorce with pwBPD, kids, and police involved, and loss of employment

Problem: Crippling spousal support (pendente lite) enabling pwBPD to fund vexatious litigation

Question: What's the best strategy to get spousal support reduced?

Hypothetical: Lawyer suggests going pro se (representing oneself) to show the court the situation is unsustainable

If you were the vexatious adversary here, how would you leverage me going pro se to your advantage?

Laws differ from locale to locale.

If unemployment is lost [due to spouse's lies, etc.], stop supporting her financially as you have no income.  What can they do?  Attach a legal order to your non-existent wages?

If you can demonstrate that you lost your job due to her actions, your attorney should be all over that.  Same thing with the police issues.

Regarding the police action...  Was this also caused by her?  If so, what was it?

I am curious as you responded to my post back in October and I am wondering if it is related to recording your 'rampaging blamer' as you so eloquently put it.

Even though my 'rampaging blamer' taunted me to record her on many occasions, I just want to make sure that my i's are dotted, and my t's are crossed.

I wish you the best of luck.

Take Care.
