Title: Aggressive Rage
Post by: Hopeless419 on May 24, 2023, 07:55:45 AM
Do all pwBPD have an aggressive outward rage? I’ve read several stories where people experience this with their BPD person. My SD doesn’t possess that but is easily irritated, frustrated and “stressed”. And when she gets that way she goes on a smear campaign within the family to get other family members on her side and create conflict/drama. Does rage get worse over time?

Hi Hopeless 419
I have read that sometimes rage is more internalised. I do think I have read that in a post here too.

In my case dd always had mood swings and difficulty relating to other children due to this. The rage came a lot later and was associated with substance abuse. So it is difficult to work out what degree of rage is just due to BPD.

One of the things you mention is the key though I think - when there is a trigger, then bpd people will blame others - and often the ones who are most supportive.

This seems to happen with your sd. The rage might come later - or might not, but I think the response to a trigger is the key thing for BPD.

Thank you, Sancho. I’m new to all of this and still learning. I appreciate the response.
