Question: I was in a committed relationship for 2 years. One year ago we got engaged. We are now broken up, and he asked someone else to marry him within 3 weeks of our break-up. He is now in therapy and says his insecurities let him to react in an emotional way; emotionally acting out - asking someone else to marry him. He has left me alone as I've requested. I still love him but I'm afraid to even consider giving him another chance. I feel he's already shown his true colors and revealed his character. I'm struggling with thinking that people can change and at this time he's doing the right thing; respecting my boundaries. Should I consider giving him another chance? Can people change?
