I'm a mother of a 16 yo daughter with BPD. This has been a 4 year journey for us with ER visits, hospitalizations, IOP's, Wilderness therapy and residential programs. She's currently back in the psych hospital, and we are feeling hopeless and scared. I'm looking for resources to better manage our lives.

Welcome!  Wonderful that your daughter is in treatment!  Now for your own care- joining here is a good first step .  Take a look around here, peruse the drop down menus up top.  You can also click onto anyone's name here to read their previous posts/ get backstory.    You are not alone.
~I would suggest familiarizing yourself with BPD here are some suggested readings:
Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking Your Life Back When Someone You Care About Has Borderline Personality Disorder by Paul T. T. Mason MS, Randi Kreger

The Essential Family Guide to Borderline Personality Disorder: New Tools and Techniques to Stop Walking on Eggshells by Randi Kreger

Overcoming Borderline Personality Disorder: A Family Guide for Healing and Change by Valerie Porr, M.A.

We also have a Library with book suggestions and reviews.
Here is a link to it... https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?board=33.0

2. It is important to build your own network and this forum can be a part of that.  Some of us also have our own therapists.
3. Some of us supplement our support by going to 12 step programs for families such as co dependents anonymous. Free, and online.   These help us with boundaries because it is so easy to get lost in our child's BPD with them that we don't know where we start and they end.
4. Know you are as important as your child.
5. Write to us as you have need.  We are here for you.
