Hey Guys,

My BPD ex wife texts me out of the blue letting me know my lab / dashund mix is dead. Now he died several weeks ago I was told tonight. She said his ashes were spread in a green area. Not even the decency to let me know earlier. My other dog escaped the house so she said today. I believe she opened the door and sent him on his way.

I’m floored at these developments man. I’m shocked at this.

I am so incredibly sorry. There are no words. I will pray for the safety of the one and share in the grief of the other. What a cruel thing for her to have done.

Seems most BPD behavior is both an invite to re engage, and/ or a back-handed slap to get our attention.

My BPD ex got a dog, loved dominating him.  Very creepy; she’d stand over him, a leg on either side, as he basically cowered.  She liked it, he didn’t..  What he liked was when I’d visit, taking him on the few wild adventures he’d get.  I actually think she was jealous.

I miss my former dogs, humans often seem undeserving of their unconditional devotion.  I hope your dog's passing breaks a tie with her, and that the other dog finds a loving home..

So sorry.
It is what it is.
Don’t give the other the satisfaction of responding to the news.
Ugh.
It will get better.
And as my shrink alway told me. Presume everything I am told is a LIE.
I live by that.
