Hello all,

I have been in a relationship with my wife for almost 15 years. We have been married for almost 9 years. We have a 7 year old boy.

For a long time I thought her behavior was my fault and would improve as our situation improved. At some point I realized it was not my fault, this was something with her.

This was after our son was born. If not for him we could part ways, but for a variety of reasons including his special needs that would be very bad for everyone.

So I put up with it and I manage it as best I can. I try to remain calm. She usually calms down, anywhere from an hour to a day but it is very stressful to deal with.

I would like to learn how to manage things a little better.

Hi and welcome Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

This website has a wealth of actionable information that can help. Check out the Tips menu at the top of the page. Also, I recommend the books "Stop walking on eggshells" and "Stop caretaking the borderline or narcissist".

Hi!

I’m in a very similar situation. While I’m very new to this board and BPD, I would love to talk about things with you.
