How do we post secure/safe photos

Embedding an image file directly into discussion is simply a matter of posting an image address and putting image tags on either side of it.
[img]https://example.jpg[/img]

You can use an online https address from a website. The address will begin with https (the "s" is important) and it will end with .jpg, .gif, .png

Or you can upload a photo from your computer to a photo storage website and get an https address there.

Attention(click to insert in post) HTTPS (HTTP Secure) is an adaptation of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) for secure communication over a computer network. The principal motivation for HTTPS is authentication of the accessed website and protection of the privacy and integrity of the exchanged data. It protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. To keep our users secure, not only must all our internal links be HTTPS, but all out bound links must go only to other HTTPS sites.

If all links on webpage are safe, then  Bullet: important point (click to insert in post)
If one link on a page is unsafe, then    Bullet: important point (click to insert in post)

If you are trying to post a photo or use a custom avatar, just upload it to a secure (HTTPS) "photo" and link to it. A proper address will begin with https (the "s" is important) and it will end with .jpg, .gif, .png

We welcome requests for the avatar library. We can't always do them, but if we have programmer time available we will try.
