We have simplified and added directions on how to use the buttons that appear at the posting page control panel. When you cursor over a tool icon, instructions on how to use it appear.

We have also updated the emjois.

Paragraph header  (click to insert in post)
Helps members label the paragraph where they describe specific questions, problems,  for which they are seeking for support. Good for long posts.

Welcome new member (click to insert in post)
A logo to welcome newbies. We also have
Code:
*hi*
*welcome*
*bpdfamily*

Frustrated/Unfortunate (click to insert in post)
These old favorites are now in the new Apple iphone emjoi style.
#2 is new. It is listed as the third most popular emoji on Facebook. It is for validating support or advice given to us.

Laugh out loud

Cursing - won't cause site restrictions at Starbucks (click to insert in post)
New emoji and a "Starbuck's safe way" to curse (Starbucks blocks some sites because of profanity). If are using nonsense words (e.g., $hlt, svck), use this tool. The Starbucks and Panera Bread censors can't read these. It's good for the community overall to not post profanity as it has caused the site to be banned on local servers.

These have been around for a while - member favorites.

Yellow flag/questionable (click to insert in post)   Red flag/bad  (click to insert in post)
We added yellow flag to aid with "gray" thinking (not black and white). Lets think in terms of yellow and red flags, not just red flags.

Organizing emojis
Bullet: completed (click to insert in post)

Bullet: comment directed to __ (click to insert in post)

Bullet: important point (click to insert in post)

Bullet: contents of text or email (click to insert in post)
Task complete

Many members use the twitter convention to shout out to other members. This is to help them.

organization/highlight

marking member communications (either PM, mail)

Paragraph header (click to insert in post)
Added to punctuate when we are trying to direct a member away from what they are doing. This should be specially useful when members are not listening to advice from the group and we want to highlight the advice given.

The rolling eyes one hasn't been around for a while. That typically was the one I used most frequently. In this role, I wouldn't use it, but it said a lot to me. Also miss angel and devil and green heart seems to be less fraught than the red one. Hugs and thumbs up are my favs. I've got to experiment with the flags and the exuberant one. Also miss the barf, but again wouldn't use it in this role.

Love the cursing emoji, and the other new ones.

Please be good shepherds.  Use these emoji they way they are meant to be used.  Like one per paragraph or less and not in multiples.

Good:

I think her problems with her mom are the type of things that happen in all families. It's not a red flag  Red flag/bad  (click to insert in post) , its a yellow flag  Yellow flag/questionable (click to insert in post) at most.

Bad:

Hi Newbie  Welcome new member (click to insert in post) We are really happy you are here.

Tell us more about you.   Me

Remember this is just added punctuation.
