firstly I'd just like to say how useful and grounding this board has been for me. It's been really helpful in knowing that I am not alone and people are always there to listen and discuss matters.

I think the board has a wide and very useful range of topics.

I don't know if it has come up before but I wondered if there would be value in having a separate area for helping children. I know there is a really useful thread on families, law and other related areas. There are discussions in this about children and how to protect them but they fall off the list quickly and aren't always easy to find.

However, I suspect many, as I have, may look back and see warning signs that they had not considered, were to confused to look for or otherwise missed. My children became my grounding during times of crisis and my focus on improvement was the initial spark that got me to improve things for myself as well as them and make sure my priorities were in the right place.

It is late in the day and I'm having issues with my uPWBPD undermining our childrens' counsellor but glad I spotted the signs that they were in trouble before they could try to get back to a normal life. Had I known sooner is something that will always be there for me.

So my suggestion would be a new area to discuss BPD and the effect on children, potential warning signs, mitigating strategies and other discussion just focused on trying to break the cycle and support those that cannot support themselves.

Happy to discuss if this hasn't been considered before
