Your profile page is a quick reference that others can now view and see a little bit of information on what your current status and situation.

The idea is to help us all get to know each other better - follow each others stories more accurately - understand each others objectives here.

Fields have been added so you have an opportunity now for others to see some of the basic facts surrounding your core reasons of being here. These fields are optional, you may fill in some and leave some blank. Your anonymity and safety are important to us so use discretion on what you want others to view. Profile pages are not viewable by the public - only members with a posting history can see them.

Here is a quick link to your profile page that you can modify with the new fields. https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?action=profile;sa=forumProfile

My World [title] – this is the title of the little globe under your avatar for the link to of your choice like My Introduction Post or MySpace page

My World [link] – enter the URL address of your introduction post if you wish or one that explains your current status and situation. You can cut and paste this item from the browser address line. Some users may have external pages from other site they may want to use.

Person in My Life – enter the person, husband, wife, ex boyfriend, mother, etc, the type(s) of disorders you believe they have, diagnosed or un-diagnosed, their age, your status with them and any other special information as far as length of marriage or separation.

Children – how many children are involved in the relationship, their ages and if they are in a single or multiple living arrangements.

Relationship Status – list your current status and how long you have been that way.

Sexual Preference – an unchecked box is for heterosexual status, check the box will indicate a gay, lesbian or alternative preference.

Info Last Updated – enter the month and year of when you fill in the form, this is not a computer generated date so if you update your profile later be sure to change the date here so others will know how current it is.

Current Situation – this is where you get to summarize yourself and your relationship issues. Describe what brought you here, what you want as an objective, what board you will probably be in and a opportunity to tell us a little bit about yourself.

The input fields are short so try and be concise with what you want to say, you can exceed the frames a little bit if you need more room. At the bottom right you hit the Change profile button and it will be entered. When the screen refreshed press the Summary field on the Profile Info box and you will see how the format came out that others will see. Please remember that if you see your e-mail address it is hidden to others but visible for you to see and change.

These additional fields will be of great benefit to members replying to your posts to remind them who you are and a reminder of your background and situation.

If you have any questions you can PM an adviser for assistance.

If you would like to share a little background information this is how to do it so other members can see your story and situation.

Initially got an error message about the referring URL but was ultimately able to save my profile update.  I would suggest that anyone trying to update the profile not open the link in a new tab or window but just click on the link you've provided.
