"There's no telling how much stuff we DON'T know about"
I had a good laugh when I read this... .A few months ago I learned that I was my husband's 3rd wife--not his 2nd as I always thought! I was married to him for 9 years, I'm sure he heard me refer to his 1st wife (who was really his second wife). He never once mentioned that he was married a total of 3 times. When he first asked me out, I knew he was "divorced", but I was only 20 y/o & it was a big deal to date a divorced man. I was more than a little wary so I asked him to show me his "divorce papers" before I would agree to date him (I know... .but I'm from the Middle Ages). Next time I will know to ask "how many". I thought I was being SO careful, then years later I find out about his 3 wives! Anyway, I thought it was so funny, I hope someone here gets a laugh too.
P.S. I've found some other time gaps so I'm looking for another wife or two. (H passed away) CM
