Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I've come to a point where I have little on no care about losing this woman or the hell she's brought to my life... .but, I can't stop thinking about what she is tying to take me for financially after only 2.5 years of marriage.  And on top of that she's somehow convinced a neighbor couple of mine that I've known for 14 years to root her on through the process?  I don't know how much they really know, but if they know the figures... .how could they possibly say, "good for you take him for all you can!"... .  I so badly want to say something to them... .to tell them this isn't a game, this is my LIFE SAVINGS and what do they think I e done to deserve to have that taken from me?

Sorry to whine this morning, but I'm feeling pretty near the bottom today... .and my divorce has no real end in site... .

Hello Newstart

Don't worry, you are not whining. I know all too well the feeling of not being able to stop ruminating.

Why do you think she could financially ruin you ? You are talking about your life savings. You were married to this woman for 2,5 years. In my country the money you bring into the marriage, stays your own. Is it different in your country ?
Do you have a marriage contract ?

Did you see a lawyer concerning all of this ?

Hi Fie,

I'm in a community property state and put this woman on my home of 14 years, she may be entitled to 1/2 of the total equity... .she's wanting 10's of thousands of dollars... .all for 2.5 years... .that's  my savings... .my ability to afford another home when this is all over... .my boys education... .my retirement... .I'm 48 and this is going to really jack up my life... .all because I married a sociopath... .so I've got that going for me... .which is nice... .
