VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

Just text my exgf about her telling her bf that I attacked her, it started with her saying my son missed me and was heart broken I haven't seen him for a while.

I agree my son loves and misses me and that makes perfect sense. What makes no sense is her lies about me.

There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get someone to see the truth, their need for help. Trying to get my exgf to lay off and if she's so darn miserable like she was today, to get off your butt and do something to make your life better.

Then it hits me like a ton of bricks. How many times others have begged me to get help, or stay away from sick toxic people and I stubbornly refused.

Lesson learned.

If I could change my exgf, if I could have made her happy I would have by now, 4 years is more than enough.

If she wants to remain miserable and lose her son to me the so be it. If she wants to throw our son away then so be it.

If she wishes to destroy her life the. So be it.

I'm done taking care of her, only my son and I matter now.
