VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

We are separated but i want to see her so bad. It comes and goes. I miss hed but I dont miss the chaos. It took me 6 weeks to get to this even place. The shell is starting to fill back up. I know if i contact her she will suck the life out of me.

I'm in the same boat. Rationally I know that nothing good would come from renewed contact, but nostalgia hits you when you least expect it. You're beginning to think you're so over the whole thing, and then BAM! You start missing them again.

What makes a BPD breakup so bad, to me, is the feeling that you can't even trust your own thoughts and feelings anymore. Why of course: After all, you've been conditioned to doubt them over the course of your relationship. It sucks.

Spending time with friends and other people helps immensely. Especially when they already were the voice of reason during your relationship. They can help put everything in the right, sober perspective.

Mutt,

I am feeling better. I have found that if i immerse myself in my job it helps me deal with the emotional pain. I got one of those wework type offices sine our company wont let us back in yet.  Its on a river where people raft, kayak and paddleboard. I may take that up as a hobby once i cut back on hours.

It gives me a place to go so i am not sitting alone in the house dwelling on her. It is also downtown so i walk a lot more. I walked about 6 miles yesterday. This is probably the best move i have made. It is open 24\7 so i always have a place to go.I

Thank you for asking. How are you doing?
