This is just a random expression of confusion and sadness from me.

I have such a thin skin at the moment.  I feel vulnerable and small.  Post whirlwind marriage and whirlwind divorce from a BPD man, my armour has worn a little thin.

I know I am in emotional recovery from the chaos and madness of the past year, and I am raw from the deep-seated childhood wounds that it has all re-activated within me.

But the world seems such a cruel and crazy place right now.  I don't even want to keep abreast of the latest news,  because it is soul destroying to read of the innocent lives lost, and acts of terror that have taken place lately.

We live in a mad world where the press of a button can randomly blow a plane with 298 souls out of the sky and obliterate them from existance.  A world where some people are living in an enclave from which there is no escape, whilst missiles are rained down on them.  A world where a select few have a selection of meal choices every day, and the majority of people on the planet struggle with basic food security each day.

And yet, there is goodness in people's hearts.  It just seems to be overshadowed by so much darkness right now.

Depression can certainly make gratitude and kindness hard to find at times. It is in these times, I find my faith to be tested... .and I look for the basics to find it again balanced with shedding tears.

The global news is quite sad right now, be sad as you need to -then start small in gratitude focus - a sunny day, walking your dog, children laughing... .it is in the small things we can balance out.

Yes, Ihope, the world is full of everything. I can relate that you feel sometimes overwhelmed. And especially after a difficult break up.

A hug also from my part. There is also love out there, beautiful moments, beautiful people, nature. Do you have a place where you can feel this too?
