I do know, because of my son's history with medications (he's currently on Pristiq for Depression, Tenex for anxiety, Modafinil/Provigil for ADD, and a Thyroid med due to a previous Hyperactive Thyroid that has been radiated almost to oblivion   ), that it always takes time for the benefits to kick in after a change is made.

I hope that she is stabilized soon... .

Do they think your dd is bipolar? My dd was on Depekote for a time but that was after a release from the H... .her P convinced her to go off and we changed to Lamictal. I am kind of shocked that she is at these levels so quickly. It really takes months to get to some of these dosages.

Since 05 that was her diagnosis- they just switched it

To BPD.growing up treated for ADHD.

She called office and they said only take the Depekote 1 times a day for a week then then increase as directed to full dose.

If that's tolerated add in others.

Idk... .

I'm glad she's got an appointment tomorrow; even though it's with another Therapist, maybe she will get some answers as to how she's doing, and if the meds are "right" for her.

I do know that when my son has been put on meds or had them changed, it took up to 2 weeks to see the positive changes. The hardest part was keeping him taking them during that initial time-frame when he didn't see progress; he would get frustrated quickly and want to give up on them. He's doing well now, though, and has been on this combination of meds for a couple of years.

Good luck  Smiling (click to insert in post)

Thank you.

Same therapist,she goes every Thursday

Been with this one about 6 wks-

In a few wks she will get to go to the Dr. Who prescribed the meds,

Praying between now and then she stabilizes some.

Good to know it takes a couple weeks to see a difference/ if we survive. Lol
