My 14yo daughter is struggling, so am I (update1)

So she was sexually assaulted in the bathroom at school yesterday. She won't talk to us much less report it. We expected this, but not so soon.  I feel like I'm hanging on, one terrible time to the next.

Our objective is to better understand the struggles our child faces and to learn the skills to improve our relationship and provide a supportive environment and also improve on our own emotional responses, attitudes and effectiveness as a family leaders

That's heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for you and her and your family. I don't have any advice, except to hope that she will stick with her therapy sessions.

Thank you. There are only 1 or 2 people irl  that talk to about this, but no one really understands unless they've been through it.

Heart goes out to you. People here understand the pain, anxiety and sense of helplessness that is our journey with our loved child.

That's so true. No judgment or "why didn't you just..." here. We do the best we can for our kids and families, taking it a moment at a time.
I hope you can have some moments of low intensity and self care this week.
