Hi again!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about such topics, but anyway I'm posting this. Sorry if I've made a mistake. I also put a
Red flag/bad  (click to insert in post)Trigger Warning Red flag/bad  (click to insert in post) right here so if suicide is a sensitive topic to anyone who's reading this, maybe they want to reconsider continuing.

My partner is dealing with a lot. He has recently immigrated to another country, he's having his first semester in a new university and handling the financial problem all by himself as he can't really receive support from family. Beside all these stuff, he's been dealing with many health issues, many of them caused by his awful mental state a year ago when he was living a very difficult situation. Some chronic illnesses like rosacea, some problems with his eyes, etc and because of the insurance, accessing treatment is so hard for him right now.

He's been in a depressive episode for near 2 months now, and he was telling me that maybe he just kills himself, not because of sadness but because his problems (mentally and physically) are too much and too complicated to be solved, and he can't suffer with the hope for things to get better someday.

He has an appointment with a psychiatrist in two weeks (and with a psychologist but months later, he's been on waiting) but I'm just too worried for him and I'm helpless. I don't know how can I manage this situation and I need some support/help. I don't know what to say, and how to reduce the risk until he starts getting some help.

BPD episodes lasts from a few minutes to a few days.  Two months sounds like something other than BPD, perhaps Bipolar - ask the psychiatrist.

Natural things to combat being depressive...

1.  Exercise - outside is ideal, the sun and fresh air help - this works best for me.
2.  Get enough sleep - ideal is 7-9 hours, too much or too little is not good.
3.  Eat healthy
4.  Avoid alcohol and drugs

Here is a list of other natural things to try until he can see the psych

Thanks for the recommendation! He's been all the 4 you've mentioned but didn't help that much unfortunately... But I'm going to check the link you shared for sure!

Anothrt therapist diagnosed him with BPD and depression, but he also was thinking that maybe that's actually bipolar not BPD. We'll be looking into it! Smiling (click to insert in post)
