Hello Everyone,
I joined this site because on our 2nd visit to the psychiatrist she said that she was leaning towards Sammy having BPD.
I of course wanted to do what i could to find out about the disorder... .
We had our 3rd visit with her yesterday, where she officially diagnosed Sammy as BPD and ADHD.
I realize that having BPD is going to be a constant struggle for Sammy, but the fact that we have a diagnosis and a letter stating this... .it will make things much easier when trying to get her the help that she needs.
She has been taking the medications and liking them! Which is amazing in itself.
I just wanted to share the good news Smiling (click to insert in post)

Hi SammysMom

I'm so happy for you, we felt exactly as you do 2 years ago when 28DD was diagnosed, it was such a relief to be able to take a step back and learn, move forward and we have, small gentle steps work.

My DD was relieved, meds have surely helped, 3 changes so far and each change gets better. For me it's been important to recognise this is my DD's journey, I'm educating myself using the great resources here and wonderful folks.

It's a pleasure to be walking with you SammysMom.

Hi sammysmom

Thanks for sharing your news. What a massive and important step for you both! I'm really pleased your daughters responded well to her meds too.

Take care of yourself too and I look forward to reading your posts. I'm glad your here as my BPDs26 will be starting (hopefully) his own treatment journey soon.
