Before you can make things better, you have to stop making them worse... Have you considered that being critical, judgmental, or invalidating toward the other parent, no matter what she or he just did will only make matters worse? Someone has to be do something. This means finding the motivation to stop making things worse, learning how to interrupt your own negative responses, body language, facial expressions, voice tone, and learning how to inhibit your urges to do things that you later realize are contributing to the tensions.

She is very popular in community as a volunteer, very skilled professional, liked by dozens of people for her happy, people pleasing demenor, makes good money, plays music instruments, frugal with money, does not abuse substances, still has friends from high school, liked by church members,   is very social and charming.

BUT... .

Gets into severe push-pull behavior, is flirtatious, splits two children, one as all good, other as all bad... . suddenly breaks up from a 2 year deep r/s , gets into loud rages, gives silent treatments, has physical complaints all the time,

can not be alone and is compulsively social, wants to marry a 75+ yrs old rich man(she is in 40s), gets into severe dissociation (staring blank and totally lost, mumbling strange words) .Very low body image, always trying to lose weight with new diets etc, thinks she is fat and ugly(she is not)

DOES SHE HAVE BPD ? What's your opinion?

Pretty much exactly described my expwBPD and she has been officially diagnosed with the disorder plus PTSD and is in treatment.

BTW. I have been nc now for 2 months.  If you are in a r/s with this person,  RUN.

One thing, I hope you are not the 75+ year old ! ?
