Quotes that made you shiver/laugh/cry...

I was reminiscing a little today and recalled a peculiar (but somewhat humorous in hindsight) incident that happened early on when we were just getting to know each other. On the second date when she came over to my house, she rang the doorbell and when I answered we chatted for a few seconds and then I moved away from the front entry expecting her to follow. When I noticed she didn't, she cocked her head at me and said "You have to invite me in."
I realized it was the polite thing to do but it also creeped me out because for whatever reason I seem to recall reading or hearing somewhere that in order for the devil to take up residence in your home, you have to explicitly invite him in. I literally did a formal bow to her and said "I invite you in, you're welcome to enter my humble abode." And then she came through the doorway and curtsied with this grin on her face like she owned me forevermore. In a way it is true. I haven't shaken her hold on me yet and I'm still under her spell even though we have limited contact. I still consider it a good, nostalgic memory. Those idealization days are hard to forget.

Hi LostGhost
Funny you say that, my exBP said just that too!, (you have to invite me in), and as the months went by and we became involved, he often remarked that he was the devil himself!
After dealing with his crap over the last 4.5 years, I'm inclined to believe he might be!
