Hi

It's been awhile since I've been on here.  With BPD it's an up and down roller coaster.  It's not a bed of roses without thorns.

My Dh and I are working together.  A united front seems to work with DBPD DD.  Right now DD has her dd (6 months)is in school and has her own apartment (it will be interesting if she keeps the payments up to date and clean).  CAS has completely backed off.  DD has many hands helping her including her bio father who has helped her with expenses.  She (gd) is soo cute. DD has no idea how good she has it. Time will tell with the gd.  My dh calls gd Peanut.  We get her one weekend a month if we all get along.  Dh is not always happy with dd but is working with it.  We've spent Xmas and Easter with DD and gd staying over.   DD is learning to be grateful.  She still nags for things.  I think it's expected, DH hates it.  So does her bio-father.  Neither of us let her use the gd as a bargaining chip although I suspect others do.

I'm learning to spend time with her not money.  She's learning to accept it.  We are learning to have a different relationship.

Until the next chaos.

Thanks for the update Pineapple days!

It's good to hear that you are finding a way to have a relationship with your dd and Peanut (so cute!)

I'm glad you are beholding the beauty of the rose even with it's thorns.

hello PyneappleDays

this update was so refreshing.  I am so happy that things are starting to look a little brighter, and it sounds as if your dd is trying. Perhaps Peanut was the motivation she needed. It's hard to say. I am just happy for you. Keep us updated.

Thanks for the update, PyneappleDays  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

It's not going to ever be "easy" with your daughter, until she realizes she needs help for her troubles and gets it--or maybe somehow learns with age how to manage her thoughts and emotions better... .I still wouldn't give up hope that she does get the proper help that she need eventually. Being a mother could spark the impetus for that; how is she with your granddaughter?

It sounds great that your Ex is helping her out, and that he is involved with your granddaughter, too... .That sweet, new life is such a bright spot, and can give hope to the whole family  Smiling (click to insert in post)

I truly wish you all the best, and please continue to keep us updated, Okay?
