What type of relationship are you in?

Divorced 10 years now. Daughter was 12 at the time and I feel this is when her spells REALLY began. I was a mess for two years and should have been stronger for her. But it was hard. Very hard.

Parent? Step Parent? Grandparent?

Mother

What is the age of child/teen/adult?

23

Living at home? Living on their own?

Living with me and my parents. She hates it here. Calls it a small town and soo depressing.

Who else (if anyone), in child's family, has BPD?

Nobody. Her dad may be a narcissist tho. Looking back he was pretty narcissistic

What is your child's strongest quality?

VERY book smart, artistic, articulate writer. Her poem was published in a book during college. She could really be a writer. She's that good.

What are the top challenges your child is facing?

Anxiety. Being independent, getting a job, not letting go of the past. Over analytical of herself. Spends too much money when she has it.

What do you find most difficult in dealing with your child?

SHE HITS ME and pushes me. Takes everything out on me. Blames me and puts me in no win situations. Likes to rile me up so I get mad and then I be the bad guy. Self pity. Anti social. Bitter. EXCUSES has an excuse for just about anything.

How would you categorize your child? Diagnosed? Undiagnosed?
Undiagnosed BPD
Diagnosed anxiety
Antisocial
OCD at times

Substance Abuse? Self-Harming? Other?)

Habitual marijuana smoker

What do you struggle with yourself?

Sadness, feel unhealthy, can't focus at work, worry about her future

(Traits of a disorder?  Low Self Esteem? Codependent

Is anyone in therapy? Child? Parent(s)?

SHe went to intake last week. Has seen a therapist in the past. No diagnosis. Her main goal was Xanax. Those made her act really strange but I think she was taking too many. She realized those are too much for her and wants to take Ativan again. At least those don't make her feel weird. They do calm her down. I hope they give her Ativan.

If so, what type(s)?

?

(Individual? Group? Family?

INDIVIDUAL
