Hello Cloi

Welcome to bpdfamily   Welcome new member (click to insert in post) A diagnosis can certainly help make sense, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better having information to hand, I did. How old are your children? Some of the behaviours can be similar to teenager behaviours, or hidden so yes many of us feel guilt how did we miss that, my DD was diagnosed in 2015 at 26 is a quiet person with BPD. I'd never heard of BPD. As loving parents we've always done our very best and continue to in this safe place.

How's your daughter received the diagnosis? And your son?

It's critical to have a strong support group like family here, I'm glad you've joined us. What support do you have at home, family, friends, colleagues?

I remember my first posts here, oof it's a big step and the best decision I've ever made, we've got you Cloi, parents understand.

Hi Cloi

Along with WD, I welcome you here.

Im sorry you have gone through this with your son and now your daughter.

I also felt much relief after learning about BPD. Like you, so many things started to make sense for me. The ups and downs of the roller coaster ride now had some perspective.

I understand your guilt and Wendydarling is quite right when she suggests that the behaviours are so child like and can be masked by what seems like teenage rebellion.  I had my daughter at many counsellors but she was never diagnosed until 25.

I wish I knew then what I know now but I cant go back... .only forward and this being a great place to learn and be supported so we can be the best version of ourselves for us and our children.

I hope you stay with us. We are to listen and share our experiences.

Take care
