Old relationship affecting old relationship

Was wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience...
I've been dating my current gf for about 8 months now. She is AWESOME. I really can't think of anything about her that is bad; she has normal flaws, but deals with them very well IMO... I feel like for the first time in my life I'm in a "normal" relationship with a female. We've taken it very slow, not rushing and it's going great.
Yesterday, I told her that I love her for the first time and she readily said it back. This is a first for me. In the past, either women have not reciprocated (that happened twice) or have said it to me first and waaaay too early in the R/S (as my uBPDxw did).
What surprised me was that after saying it a few times to my gf, it made me feel guilty. Like I was somehow doing something wrong towards my uBPDxw. I know that I'm not; we've been apart for over a year now. I DEFINITELY am not wanting to go back to her... but the obligation and guilt still linger.
Has anyone else had these kinds of thoughts even after starting a new relationship? Is it something I should be seriously worried about? I'm very happy in this R/S so I'm thinking it's just a passing thought...

I thinks its just a passing thought. Same thing happened to me recently. The feelings of guilt will go away in short order. I think you have with your new love is what you had wished for with your old love.
