Hi everyone, new to the list and encouraged to find so many dealing with similar situations. My 22 year-old BPD daughter is now living at home after graduating from college and the stress is already hard to bear. There are many positives: we are in family therapy and she is in individual therapy; she is not suicidal; doesn't use drugs or alcohol; doesn't engage in risky behavior; got a BFA largely on her own with very little help from parents (other than financial); she has a job and is extremely responsible and a great employee. That said family life can be baffling, confusing, aggravating, infuriating, nightmarish. We parents are just learning some of the basics and trying to accept her just as she is.

Welcome Xiang0710! You're in good company here. I'm glad you found us.

That said family life can be baffling, confusing, aggravating, infuriating, nightmarish. We parents are just learning some of the basics and trying to accept her just as she is.

Can you tell us a little more about why family life is so challenging right now?
