one more hurdle

Happy (ish!) New Year everyone!
So...I have one more hurdle...I am very open to any suggestion...it is my BPD daughter's birthday tomorrow...what to DO? (I mailed her a bday card with a gift card, though she never picked up the Christmas gifts, sigh) I feel like the "lack of" phone calls is going to come back to "bite" me, however, she DEMANDED I do NOT call (and i feel like I am making a teeny bit of progress by NOT reaching out) however, i woke up sad and anxious because LAST year she was in the mental ward on her bday (though...in retrospect, she was in the day after Christmas), ugh (I have decided to skip (I know it is JUST face book!) post, because a) she does not respond or seem to care b) she does not like the attention and c) I have no photos to share (that is such a simple thing, but...so sad) anyway...tips?

Maybe text her saying you are thinking of her on her birthday and would she like for you to call her? Either she'll respond with her wishes or ignore the text, but either way you are covering yourself. She's less likely to weaponize the situation this way IMO. Good luck!
