My son is 24 and still living at home. He has BPD. He has all the classic symptoms. I'm here mostly for strength, patience and guidance.

Welcome bean! My wife and I have a 29 year old son with BPD who still lives at home. He was diagnosed about 8 years ago but only decided to seek treatment 4 years ago. He's been through a 6 month dbt outpatient program and currently has a part time job.

It may be difficult to find a parent with a son with BPD only because the stat is 80% women and 20% men when it comes to this nasty disorder but no matter, we're all here for you "bean" and we've all been through a lot of "stuff" with our kids male or female.

Welcome bean, This board has helped me a lot just reading the stories and realizing I am not alone,

all so similar some worse then mine. It helped a lot to realize I am not crazy. It has helped to give me strength and has helped greatly with the depression I felt for the last 2years thru out my craziness with my daughter.

Hopefully you will find some peace here and tools that will help you they have  helped me to understand what I need to do. Good luck with your son. I am so happy he is getting help wish my daughter would.
