All,
I am ruminating like crazy. I want to step in and help her, make it all better and live happily ever after.
Please give horror stories of your experience trying to do this to stop me.
This is crazy in my head, a week of being comfortable then she is all nice and civil to me and im ___ing back in love with her wanting to fix her and live happily ever afyer again.

I thought the same as you. I believed all her lies about changing and making things work. It was a constant cycle. She triangulated me with another guy. She's now gone back to him. Do I still love her? Yes. But as the days roll on it slowly dies.
If you can, you need a break from her and to stop call contact. It'll help your mind clear uncessacary thoughts.
