Reading my posts reminds me why I have to go through with this :'(

I've been waiting and waiting for my BPDh to file the decree nisi - I signed and agreed his petition over three months ago. I really have to move on for my own sanity, it's time. So we gave his sol a deadline of today to submit the papers. We have heard nothing, and now we are going to counter petition for UB (he would never admit to the adultery). I'm feeling emotionally drained and exhausted and trying hard not to self medicate with wine and cigarettes. .  But reading all my past posts on this board is keeping the waves of grief and nostalgia at bay and reminds me why I have to go through with this.

A little bit of self medicating with wine and cigarettes isn't the worst thing.  Others have resorted to much worse! 

On a serious note, the delays are common from pwPD's.  All you can do is move forward with your life as normal as you can.  Find other things to get involved with and take your mind of him and the issues you face.  Focus on building a better future as much as you can!
