Yep. So he's been AWOL. I just cant recover from the breakup because it was so abrupt. I keep zoning out or isolating myself. I'm joyless. Recently I found posts on pick up artist forums by him looking for wingmen to pick up women. How disgusting and I am disappointed I fell for this... .now I'm just joyless. I can't understand why they split us black and make false accusations. I know he's a sex addict. I just need help and guidance from others that have been through this process. Do you ever get your old happy self back?

":)o you ever get your old happy self back?"

you certainly do, blue917, but it takes time. if i understand correctly, this is a recent event for you, which means its as if it happened yesterday. it felt that way for me for at least two months. it feels that way for others longer. this is a traumatic experience that you have been through. it is going to take time to process that trauma.

im very glad you found bpdfamily. are you seeing or considering seeing a therapist?

Ugh... .so many of us have been there. I know how much you must be hurting and it doesn't make you crazy to feel the way you do. you are in good company. as much as you want to ask why, there is really no point. You will probably never know the truth about why this has happened.  It could be that he projected... .meaning he thought you were going to leave him, so in order to keep from feeling abandonment, he left you first. But it could be for any number of reasons.

The most important thing is to take care of yourself first. I don't think you can ever totally be your old you... .honestly.  I think you have been thru something very traumatic... .and I don't know that you can ever be the exact old you again.  But I think you can and will get back to an even more improved version of you. hugs and welcome
