just an introduction

I have been out of the relationship that brings me here, for almost 7 years. We have a child together, and I don't want to deny my child of this parent. But the actions of this person to control certain situations in their favour were so extreme and they show no insight into their behaviour that I have concerns for my child's safety.

Hi pipefish
What's the custody situation like, and what behaviors do you feel are unsafe for your child?

Hi pipefish
I wanted to join
Turkish
and welcome you to the BPD Family too!
I'm really glad you've found us. I know you'll find a lot of support and resources here just like I did when I first arrived. I found it just a relief to talk with people that "get it".
Can you tell us a little more about your situation and how we can help? Your child is lucky to have you looking for help on their behalf.
Take Care,
Panda39

Hi pipefish,
I wanted to join Turkish and Panda39 in welcoming you to the boards. It's common for many of us here to be concerned for our child's safety when the other parent has BPD. What are the behaviors that are causing you concern? I believe finding this site and getting support from others who understood what I was dealing with has turned my son's well-being around. There are so many helpful skills and resources that you can use to raise an emotionally resilient child. I hope you'll let us know what's going on and check back in when you're comfortable sharing more.
