Don't know if this is the right board but here goes.  This is a series of problems and I know I can't fix any of it but I need to get it off my chest.

We tried to organize a family holiday which involves taking gd away earlier in the year.  Ed dil said it didn't suit,  fair enough so we changed dates to next year. We have emailed her the dates that gd will be away with us and texted her twice requesting an acknowledgement all to no avail.  This is  from a person who goes on about other cultures not being polite. We feel we need to speak to her to prevent problems near the time of departure ie lies and denials of knowledge. Have told gd who often lives in fear and trepidation of her that we need to talk. She is reluctant for us to do this as she wears the fallout.

We have also just learned that dil has quit her job. ... .again so it's back on welfare. She also told gd she has to stay with her for most of the holidays for if she goes to her dad's place for more time in the holidays then exdil does not get as much  child support. A way to make a child feel wanted!

I guess I am venting as I can't believe we can do much about it.  I would love to dob on  her to centrelink australia.

Gd is fairing well surprisingly.

My question is what sort of person  feels so entitled to taking money from the tax

Payer of Australia and not  going to work?  And what sort of person tells her daughter I want you for the money?  I know a disordered person. It is such a bad and sad example to gd I hope she sees through it.

24 hours later.  Don't know why I wrote this except perhaps I was shocked but I guess after all this time I shouldn't be! !  Her  attitude that it is her right to have whatever she wants ie gds pocket  money, other people's possessions,  welfare, etc shocks me every time. Ridiculous really! !
