Hi

I'm just now at a loss at which way to turn. I've just done a search and come across this site so thought I'd join. I'm in tears as seem to be unable to move forward as now my daughter is 18 there is not much I can do.

It is overwhelming.  Sad.  Exhausting. I'm so sorry for your pain.  I'm new too.  We seem to be at the foot of my Everest looking up at it and being told to get climbing... .

Hi Snookysdm,

Welcome to the Parenting Board.

I'm sorry for what brings you here though glad that you found us and are seeking answers and direction on how to get your d18 help.

How is your relationship with your d18?  Can you tell us about the behaviors she has that cause you to believe she has BPD or traits of BPD?

As far as getting her to seek help... .there is a lot of information in Lesson 6 to the right of the page.  It will really help you to implement a plan for therapy and treatment if you have a full understanding of the disorder and how it manifests in your daughter's life.

There is a lot that can be learned here and we will walk the path with you, answer your questions as best we can and support you along the way.
