Contempt of Court...Consequences ?

Any one know if my ex leaves the state and doesn't pay alimony how hard it is and/or costly to try and get the money? He has already quit paying my health insurance... .he is in contempt of court as of last Friday. He has a pending felony, I wonder if this has any affect on that as well... .boy, when they spiral out of control... .they spiral! He and his gf have this whole plan to quit their jobs and move to her home state of Tennessee ... .She seems just as devious as him : (

Of course every state is different. He has a pending felony over another matter?
Sounds like a messed up situation. What are they going to do for money if they aren't working?

He has a pending felony for possession of a prescription drug with intent to sell. They weren't his... .that is supposed to be forgiven in June with good behavior... .although -he lies, it still shows pending on the court site though. He gets disability from the VA and she is on maternity leave for now... .They may move in with her parents, who knows... .He pays me half the VA money. He may try and get out of it. His Lawyer asked mine if he could pay me some money up front to not pay for a few months... .that does not even make sense? Then it turned into would I take a lump sum instead of life time alimony... .I feel stupid for asking for a small amount of money from his stock money that he will be getting because he quit his job, but I am afraid he may never pay me the alimony and the lump sum may be better... .this is if he hasn't spent it already! He quit his job and I didn't even know I didn't have health insurance for 6 days... .I have a bad back and can't afford to not have insurance. He has told the lawyer they are moving in June, but again- he lies... .they may skip out on their lease too... .They just rented a place in Feb. I don't know if she is going to have the baby here for sure or not! She may want to be close to her Mother. I also think this is why he says he doesn't want to show up for divorce court- he doesn't plan on being in the state.

I would also like to say here to anyone that doesn't believe in alimony, he is agreeing to this because he didn't want me to touch his 401k and his stock money- he hid that from the courts the first go around... .He is not disabled and can work... .I have a bad back and have to force myself to work now more than I should. I was the bread winner in the beginning of the r/s when he took advantage and spent tons and tons of money... .letting me believe he would always be there for me. Told me to cut back on work and even quit if I wanted to. Thank goodness I did not! I paid off all of his debt years ago, so I feel like this is enabling him to repay me. I would like to get a lump sum of half his stock and 401k money now that he has quit his job, but I am not sure how much is there or if he has spent some of it already. I would rather he keep his future money, because he will have a child to support. But I am not going to just sulk away empty handed after all I have paid for over the past 10 years! Just to be clear... .I am not some lazy person trying to take his money. I was with him and supported him as he moved up in his career, just stop have him flush it all down the toilet for this new person. His Mother said he would crash and burn and he has... .He doesn't care about money, he has been homeless before. As long as he has a roof over his head, cigarettes and beer, he is fine. I wasted my money on him taking care of his hospital bills, rehab, his wrecked vehicles, etc. Yes, my fault for doing it, but I would be stupid to not get what I can to help me now... .I am not in a good financial state at this point after he has devastated me like he has mentally and financially.
