Hey guys, I'm a little proud of myself. I did not cry yesterday. I think crying is very healthy, but the point is I was sad but not devastated, even with my kids gone.

2 nights ago I told some people by FB msg what had happened and got such kind responses. I called a work colleague who is having a difficult time and asked him to do something so I could get out of the house too. Tonight he and his partner are having me over. Those two

things are a HUGE stretch for me... .I am very private.

The stbx texted me last night that a black snake crawled into the room at his mother's where he is sleeping on the floor. His mother is as crazy as he is and they see it as some religious end times prophecy. I was able to laugh and not text him back, even though I wanted to. I think it is the first time in our 6 year relationship that I have not texted back. I know this is wrong, but I am hoping he has noticed and it is driving him crazy.

Hey atomic, I'm proud of you, too  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)  These steps you've taken show definite progress. You have every reason to feel good about them. Bask in those feelings of centeredness and courage!

So, there is a little Schadenfreude in there, too, so what? It's a feeling and it doesn't define you.

This is the beginning of your road back, atomic, and we are all here cheering you on. Keep it up and let us know how things are going.

heartandwhole

P.S. And don't worry if every day is not so empowering, enjoy this victory.  Up-down-all around... .and better with every pass... .

Smiling (click to insert in post) I like the idea and plan. Stretching is tough but can be fun. It's somewhat free from the need to prove something to anyone and looks closer to a healthy social life.  It's a good way to use creative energy--especially a dinner party on the weekend. Each little bit counts. Well done atomic popsicles  Smiling (click to insert in post)
