I'm exhausted. It's been 6 months of my 14-year-old daughter engaged in  suicidal ideation, gestures and hospitalizations. Then we'll have a break in the clouds where she honestly seems like her old self, where she's ready to embrace her future and get back to doing to things she loves. Then we regress. We're meeting with her school on Monday to get her started in cyber school, which we thought would be a big relief for her since she hated going to school. But she's lacking in any interest or motivation in moving forward with her life. She is stuck. She's in PHP now but the level of care doesn't feel like enough. She cannot agree to any course of action with her life because she honestly believes that her actions are 100% at the mercy of her feelings. Is she destined for RTC? I just don't know what to do for her anymore. I'm just so heartbroken.

 Hi MidnightRunner,
thank you for sharing your story. It is so hard, to know what the right way is.

We are in the middle of a roller coaster ride, too. Our daughter started spiraling out of control with about 12-13. We changed schools, did some homeschooling, but ultimately she was not motivated to do anything. Now at 16, we just left her yesterday at the UNI in Utah. In hindsight, we should have done that long time ago, would have saved her and the rest of the family so much hurt and pain. We just thought she would grow out of it, or hit bottom. By the way, we tried a wilderness camp, and that did not work out at all.
