Hi, I would like some help in how to work through my boyfriend's "silent treatment" phase. It is clear something is wrong. I have been reading Walking on Eggshells and getting some help, but I'm having trouble on the cold shoulder. Anything I say during this time period will be misinterpreted and turn into an outburst.

Hi dontknowwhattodo. Welcome! Welcome new member (click to insert in post)

The silent treatment is a pretty common (though painful and abusive) thing many members here have had to deal with. How long has this silent treatment phase lasted? Is it the first time it's happened? What preceded it?
