hi,

I've just been researching BPD and really think that the symptoms relate to by BF of 18 months. It feels like I have really hit the nail on the head! He has PTSD from an assault 15 years ago, on medication for anxiety and depression (after 4 different medications) which are finally working. If I am suspecting something else isn't quite right or is it maybe the complexities of his other diagnoses? Should I make an appointment to see his psychologist and express my concerns? She is dealing with anxiety issues using CBT. Look forward to hearing from others!

Hi and welcome to the board.  I am sorry for what brings you here but glad you found us.

We can't make a diagnosis as we are not professionals but I will say that may of the behaviors of people with PTSD can overlap with BPD as well.  Regardless, both are difficult disorders and we can certainly help you as you navigate your way through your relationship.

Can you tell us more about the behaviors he exhibits and how you are currently handling them and coping?
