I've been reading this site on and off for years. I've been married to my body for 16 years and the past 15 &1/2 have been miserable. We have 2 boys, 14 and 18 which is the main reason I haven't left (along with guilt).
As I'm writing this I'm sitting in a hotel room because after she started in on me for our financial problems I went out to the garage and started cleaning it
I asked her to just leave me alone but she would not stop. I told her if she didn't then I was going to leave so she screams "the leave!, so I did. I know from too many times that she will keep this up until after midnight and I just don't have the energy to deal with it. So I figured I'd join this site to get some much needed support.
Every day I imagine what it would be like to be out of this marriage but that is soon followed by depression when I think about how horrible that process could go and the effect on my son's, especially the 14 year old. My older son is getting ready to move out in a couple of months.
Anyway, thanks for this site!

Hi Trapp3d! Welcome and I'm so glad you finally decided to post!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Financial concerns can be a big problem in any relationship, but add BPD and it just gets worse.

That's good that you followed through on what you said you were going to do. I've always heard, never threaten or promise something you're not willing to follow through on. Have you ever left to stay at a hotel before? Or is that a new development?

Is your wife diagnosed? Are either of you seeing a therapist?
