BPD Sister

My sister and I were estranged for five years, by her choice, not mine. For the past year, she has been living with my family. It’s becoming more and more difficult to deal with her on a daily basis. She has BPD; she is very aggressive to me and easily offended. She is barely able to keep her temper in check with my children and my husband, but she does. However, she later rages at me over any perceived slights from my husband and kids. I’m feeling more and more frustrated, exhausted, and honestly like an emotional whipping boy.

Hi and welcome to the board! I am glad you are reaching out for support. We all work together to support each other so you are in the right place.
Can you tell us more about your situation like how your sister came to move in with you after such a long period of no contact? How old are your kids? What sort of things do you currently do to cope with your sisters behaviors? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get a better picture of things.
I hope you share more as you continue to read and jump into other posts.

Excerpt
She is barely able to keep her temper in check with my children and my husband, but she does.
There is that, at least... which indicates that BPD or not, the way age acts out is a choice.
We have a lot of communication tools here which can help reduce conflict. How does she act out towards you? How do you typically respond?
