VIDEO: "What is parental alienation?" Parental alienation is when a parent allows a child to participate or hear them degrade the other parent. This is not uncommon in divorces and the children often adjust. In severe cases, however, it can be devastating to the child. This video provides a helpful overview.

I feel super depressed, I think this is a necessary thing to go through. I don't want to act helpless in it, but it's both relieving and scary. As many of you know, I've gone through a lot of losses of close relationships that turned out to be dysfunctional, and abusive. It's hard to accept this loss in energy and functionality, and that I am just a human being in the dumps, struggling. I am going to do some things to help, like read by book on grieving my Elisabeth Kubler Ross, that helped me through losses before. And exercise, but I am going to have to come to terms with the depression too, and probably cry a lot. It's hard as hell right now.

Another things I am going to do is try to have fun in some easy and sane ways, like watch TV, play poker on my phone, and other simple activities, that are attainable when I feel this way. And give to my pets, but it's gonna be less for a while, so I don't constantly overwhelm myself with trying to help them (and overwhelm them sometimes too!)
