My girlfriend has done this a few times lately, so I'm hoping it won't become a growing problem.  She texted me yesterday, and told me that she would be out of contact for a few days, and wouldn't be talking to anyone but her therapist.  Then, this morning, she called my mother.  I want to respect her wishes to have alone time, to deal with things, yet at the same time, I feel like shes lying to me, and that I should call her on it.  I just want things to be like they were when she was visiting, for that week... . things were so peaceful.  I know her family is a lot of the problem, but how can I tell her that?  Please, help me out here.

Hi hippyman,

It might be best to give her a little time to herself - since that's what she's asking for.  Chasing her down right now won't help the relationship.  Take some time while you are having a little break from her to read out Lessons!  There is some great stuff in there that should help you when she's ready to talk.
