Ugh - does my stbexw think I'm stupid. During this whole process every time she gets caught she always says I've been 100% honest with you. Well to make a long story short a text to her boyfriend accidentally went to my daughter. It got brough up at my daughters counciling session this week (my daughter and I). The text said "babe, you melt me" now she is trying to say that was meant for one of the moms on our softball team. Lol - lie, lie, lie... . who cares the divorce is almost final - why keep lying.

a common borderline behavior trait is pathological lying.
after doing it (telling lies) all your life it becomes automatic.
my ex-BPDgf used to be severely anorexic. she told me that she developed the habit and the ability to lie very convincingly at an early age, usually to mislead her family and therapists about how much she had or hadn't eaten that day. after that, it just became automatic to lie about everything, she said, in a rare moment of carefree lucidity and honesty.
she may not think you are stupid, but she sure hopes you are gullible enough to believe her ridiculous stories.

Same story here.
My ex is THE most fake and lying person i ever met. I called her out numerous times on it, it never changed. Not even during the last day I saw her.
She hated any form of written conversation with me, im/Facebook/sms etc. Because she knew I could call her lies out snd prove it to her tat she lied later. With her girlfriends she chatted away no problem.
I think its just as bewildered said. Its automatic for them. Automatic to the Point of lying about even the smallest things. Everything that could lead to a honest conversation where they would need to be authentic evokes fear and automatic lying.

It makes me wonder how they even live with themselves and all the hitty things they do and then lie about
Oh wait,
Alcohol
Drugs
Self harm
