My son started dating a girl nearly two years ago now. He is a musician and very very quiet and a proper gentleman. I am looking for some advice because i have lost my son, because the family he has got involved with are all controlling, to a point where he has been told he cannot have anything to do with us, even said he is going to get a restraining order to keep us away. The father of this girl has been abusing my husband and asking him to fight him, because my husband goes to see him just to keep some contact but my son has said he dont want anymore to do with him. We are at our wits end i feel like i am leaving him with a pack of wolves and our job is to protect him and i feel so helpless. Should i tell my son he has stockholm syndrome if not what should i do. Our hands are tied because i went to the police yesterday because of the threats on myself and my husband but the police said there is nothing they can do. I just want to rescue my son how do i do that can anyone help

Hi topgirl
and
I hear your worries and pain, its very difficult realizing your son is in a tough or even unhealthy relationship. I would have similar thoughts.
Great you reached out and found us.
How old is your son?
Is his girlfriend diagnosed with BPD?
Please stay tuned, topgirl!
