My Ex Contacted Me At Work
«

Moving this from a thread that started with a different concern. My ex has been trying to contact me. I've been maintaining NC. She got through to one email account I hadn't remembered to block her from and said unless I tell her to stop contacting me, she is going to keep trying to get in touch to "have coffee." I don't want to talk to her. I just want her to go away. Today I got an email from her at my work email address; she is trying every avenue. I'm worried: she is in a relationship with one of my coworkers. I'm worried that since I keep not responding, she will sweet talk him into letting her come to work with him, then come to my desk to try and force me to talk to her. In any other circumstances, I'd call this concern paranoid, but given her illness I think I have good reason to be concerned.
Has anyone else had to deal with anything like this and do you have advice? I'm trying to prepare myself. I calmly and briefly mentioned it to my boss in private - who said emailing me at work was definitely inappropriate and that I need to feel safe at work and was very supportive - so that he would understand what was happening if she shows up and I have to calmly tell her that she is not welcome to visit me at work or contact me and has to leave.
